Leyre returned to IGNIA in 2022 and is currently focused on supporting portfolio companies with strategic and analytical support, as well as identifying and evaluating new investment opportunities. Prior to this role, she was an intern with the team. Before re-joining IGNIA, Leyre gained valuable experience as a credit analyst at Anteris Capital, a venture debt fund based in Mexico City. As part of the investment team at Anteris, Leyre worked alongside colleagues to understand the financing needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). She was involved in the entire lending process, including reviewing financial statements, assessing market conditions, and analyzing the feasibility of potential borrowers’ business plans. Leyre used her analytical skills to assess the creditworthiness of potential borrowers and provided recommendations to determine the appropriate financing structure. She was also involved in sourcing new investment opportunities, fundraising, and preparing quarterly reports for investors. Leyre holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).
